Legal Aid Fundraiser with Alec Baldwin, Thursday, Aug. 11
Actor Alec Baldwin will headline a dinner and conversation about the family law system at 5:30 p.m. at the Marriott City Center Hotel in Denver. Baldwin wrote “A Promise to Ourselves: A Journey Through Fatherhood and Divorce” following his public divorce and custody battle. The proceeds will benefit the Legal Aid Foundation. Proposed New Rules for Calculating Trial and Appellate Deadlines
Deadline for Comments: Sept. 30, 5 p.m.
The Colorado Supreme Court is considering significant changes in rules of procedure to simplify how to determine when pre- and post-trial actions must be taken. Although the effective date of some rules will be deferred to July 1, 2012, the majority of the new rules will take effect Jan. 1, 2012. Click here to see the proposed changes.
