Managing Yourself Through Times of Transition
Complimentary Job Search and Career Transition Support Group, Tuesday, Nov. 8
Adversity does not build character; it reveals it. The joy of reinventing yourself comes about by embracing adversity and the resulting due process. By understanding how to manage yourself through a transition period, you will be able to define specific goals, achieve clarity, and achieve the intended outcome. Brent Woody Clouse will lead attendees through an hour-long interactive workshop. Lunch provided at no cost. To RSVP, e-mail lunches@cobar.org or call 303-860-1115, ext. 727.

Guardians ad Litem and the Attorney-Client Privilege: The Aftermath of the Gabriesheski Decision
On Oct. 24, the Colorado Supreme Court issued its long-awaited opinion in People v. Gabriesheski. MAC Tip of the Week from Tomasz Stasiuk: Adding New Voices to OSX Lion
Even though Apple's “Alex” voice does a fine job with text-to-speech, you may find yourself wanting a new or different voice for your computer. Fortunately, Apple's OS X 10.7 gives you just that: new voices that are on par with good old Alex. Here's how you get them:

1. In the control panel, select the “Speech” icon.
2. Click the “Text to Speech” tab.
3. Select the pull down menu, and choose “Customize.”

Now, just select some new voices. I recommend adding Jill and Samantha. Also give Sangetta (Indian English), Fiona (Scottish), and Serena (United Kingdom) a try. Just keep in mind that each voice added has to be downloaded and is about a gig. Have fun!
