Low-Cost Legal Information for Seniors

Senior Law Day to offer educational seminars and legal handbook

DENVER — Seniors and members of the public who have aging parents or relatives are invited to attend Senior Law Day on Saturday, June 2, at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, 2255 E. Evans Ave. in Denver. Registration begins with a continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m.; classes begin at 8 a.m. Fourteen workshops will run on the hour from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with lunch provided over the noon hour.

Workshop topics include:

  • Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning
  • Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and Public Benefits
  • Identity Theft and Financial Exploitation
  • Long Term Care Insurance
  • Beyond Google — The Good Web
  • Staying at Home and When Home Care is Not an Option
  • Living Wills, Powers of Attorney and Guardianship
  • Planning for Care at the End of Life and Hospice
  • Plan Your Funeral — Don’t Be a Burden
