Denver Bar Association CAN “Snow Carnival” raises $25,000
The Denver Bar Association’s Community Action Network (CAN) Committee Snow Carnival and Silent Auction on Feb. 7, 6–9 p.m., was a great success. Nearly 300 people attended, and close to $25,000 ($10,000 more than in 2006) was raised for Children’s Outreach Project, which provides early childhood and kindergarten education to “typical, gifted, and developmentally delayed children” in the Denver-metro area.
“We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in this fantastic event,” said Stephanie Baer, executive director for the Children’s Outreach Project. “The legal profession has been so giving and we are excited to put the donations to good use.”
“Raising this much money for such a great cause just shows how giving the legal community and the Denver community can be,” said CAN Chair Aaron Bradford. “I am so proud to be involved in such a great event.”
This event at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science included The Living Sea and the Alps IMAX movies, exhibits at the museum, kid-friendly food and activities, special silent auction items, and a raffle.
