High Park Fire

Disaster Recovery Center
Larimer County opened the High Park Fire Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) on Friday June 15th at Johnson Hall on the Colorado State University campus in Fort Collins. The DRC, a partnership between Larimer County, the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, and Colorado State University will provide a one-stop opportunity for victims of the High Park Fire to receive services and obtain information on County, State, and CSU services.
Hours

  • Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday–Sunday, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
  • Hours can be extended or cut-back as needed
  • DRC Duration is guesstimated at 3–4 weeks, as needed

Insurance
The Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association has provided evacuation tips and FAQs for what to do after a disaster.

Labor and Employment
According to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, if you have become unemployed because of a wildfire evacuation or because your worksite has been impacted by a wildfire, you may be eligible for unemployment benefits and should file a claim online.

Relief
Red Cross Colorado Chapters provides relief and supplies to firefighters and often provides shelter for families displaced by fires.

The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region welcomes evacuees and front line emergency responders to use any indoor YMCA facility and any indoor City-owned, Y-operated recreation center to rejuvenate, shower and refresh at no charge and with I.D.
