Denver Bike Social—Thursday, Aug. 15
Join us for the first ever DBA bike social on Thursday, Aug. 15, starting at 6 p.m. Cyclists will meet up at B-Station located at 1601 Platte St. in Denver. B-Cycle is a sponsor of this event and has generously offered free bike passes to anyone without a bike that day. After approximately an hour of biking, the group will gather at the Denver Beer Company, 1695 Platte St. Denver, for drinks. RSVP to lunches@cobar.org or 303-860-1115, ext. 727. Transact with Confidence: Minimizing the Risk of Environmental Liabilities—Thursday, Sept. 26
Rebecca L. Join the DBA Fit to Practice Task Force for the first ever Spinning CLE class at the downtown YMCA on Thursday, Aug. 29, from 7 to 8 a.m. Slip into your workout gear and get ready for Chief Justice Michael Bender to “school” you on the Rules of Professional Conduct. Justice Bender will delve into the importance of protecting confidential client information as you sweat away on your stationary bike. This is a members-only event, and the cost to attend is $15. Join us for Friday Nite Yoga @ the Bar every Friday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. starting Sept. 6. Represent the First District of the CBA
The Denver Bar Association seeks nominees to serve as Colorado Bar Association Vice President representing the First District (Denver). This is a one-year term beginning July 2014, serving on the CBA Executive Council and Board of Governors. Nominations are due by Monday, Sept. 16. Denver Legal Night is an open house where volunteer attorneys provide free legal and referral information to people who cannot afford legal services. Areas of law addressed commonly include Immigration, Family, Criminal, Housing, Consumer and bankruptcy, and Employment.
