Gear Up for Lawyers’ League Basketball
The Lawyers’ Basketball League will kick off its 2014 season in January, and it will be held at the University of Denver Hamilton Gym. The expected team entry fee will range from $600 to $700 and sign-up information will be sent to last year’s team captains at the end of this month. National Pro Bono Week at Holland & Hart
In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Holland & Hart Foundation, Holland & Hart’s Denver office selected Capitol Hill Community Services as the benefactor of its “Give 15” program. Each employee is encouraged to give of a minimum of 15 minutes of service or $15 in donations. As part of the culmination of the campaign, , the Foundation also will be hosting its second Nonprofit Fair, Wednesday, Oct. 9, to introduce the Holland & Hart community to nonprofit and civic organizations with which the firm’s attorneys already are involved and to encourage additional volunteerism. Flood Legal Relief—Volunteers Needed
The Joint Disaster Legal Services Task Force comprises the Colorado Bar Association, Colorado Legal Services, Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, Colorado Criminal Defense Bar, and several local bar associations. Earlier this week, the Task Force, in conjunction with FEMA and the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, launched a website and helpline for victims of the floods.
