Southwest Bar Volunteer Legal Aid, Inc. (SWBVLA) is a co-sponsor of the Durango office of Colorado Legal Services (CLS).  CLS and SWBVLA have had an agreement since 1985 to co-sponsor the local office, providing office space, an integrated system to interview and intake clients, and part-time Pro Bono Coordinator position to manage the referrals to the private Bar members for advice and full representation in selected civil case topics. There is an ongoing need for volunteer attorneys to provide advisory and direct client services in the areas of family, employment, consumer, housing, public benefits and probate law.  The administrative number for contacts concerning volunteer opportunities is 970-385-7378.
