Pete Peterson developed a fabulous budget spreadsheet as part of the Moderate Income Tool Kit. He will demonstrate how to use the spreadsheet to list your expenses or how much money you want to make, for example, so you can figure out how many hours (and at what hourly rate) you must work to cover your overhead and make the salary you want. Work + Life = Balance? Advice on how to be an attorney, and also have a life—Tuesday, April 29

The CBA Committee for Balanced Legal Careers will hold a complimentary program on Tuesday, April 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Epic Brewing Company in Denver. Plant Trees in the Hayman Burn Area—Saturday, May 3

The ABA, CBA, and local bar associations are seeking volunteers to help plant trees in the Hayman Fire burn area. The Hayman Fire was one of the largest ever in Colorado and although it occurred several years ago, there is still a great need to replant vegetation and stabilize stream banks. Carpools from Denver and Boulder will be organized. Planting will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please email Grant Boies with your name and phone number (and those of your friends), if you want to participate.

Change up your normal routine by making time to have more fun!

IAALS Releases Preliminary Findings on Colorado Civil Access Pilot Project

IAALS is pleased to announce the completion of its preliminary evaluation report on the Colorado Civil Access Pilot Project (CAPP), which tests a new set of pre-trial procedures for business actions in state district court.
