Animal Cruelty Offender Typologies: Risk Assessment Considerations
Professor Tedeschi discussed his research on the assessment of animal cruelty offenders. He sees a need for those investigating these cases to raise animals to a level of victim. He also sees a need to incorporate a diagnostic typology in evaluation to be able to adequately intervene with these offenders.
Discussion of Role of CACP with Professor Tedeschi’s Program
The participants discussed how CACP could help develop and/or promote professional tools to be used in evaluating animal cruelty cases. Professor Tedeschi offered to attend the next meeting to discuss with the group how CACP and his project could work together.
