Ergonomics

Feel like your body may be wearing a bit from so many hours a day at the office, in front of a computer at a desk?  There may be an easier way to set yourself up to avoid the wear and tear on your hands/back/neck.  You may need for someone to come in and assess ergomonics for your office and/or staff.  Ergonomics is an applied science concerned with designing and arranging things people use so that the people and things interact most efficiently and safely.  It's also called biotechnology, human engineering, and human factors.

Some workers compensation insurance carriers will provide the service for free.  Start with your carrier first.  You can also contact Mountain States Employers Council for a referral to a consultant who will performed the assessment for a fee.  To find the office nearest you, visit their website at http://www.msec.org/contactus/Please note:  the consultants will not be listed on the website.  You must call them for the referrals.
