The following are lists that have numerous links to legal sites of significance. These are good points to start your research, because the author of each list has spent a large amount of time locating sites that are of interest. You will find that most of these links will also link each other.

  • American Law Sources On-line
  • Find Law is a new place to go for great legal links.
  • Guide to Law Online by the Library of Congress
  • Guide to Legal Resources by Chicago-Kent allows a searchable index of the materials available, sorted by topic.
  • PublicLegal Resource Guide A categorized index of more than 4000 select web sites in 238 nations, islands, and territories, as well as more than 850 locally stored web pages and downloadable files, this site was established to serve as a comprehensive resource of the information available on the Internet concerning law and the legal profession, with an emphasis on the United States of America.
  • Jeff Kuester, an Atlanta attorney, maintains a list of resources related to the law involving technology.
  • lawguru.com - the bulletin board system on this site is a good place to post questions
  • The Law Lists guide is an index of lists and Usenet groups related to law on the Internet with instructions for subscribing to them. It's maintained by Lyonette Louis-Jacques, a librarian and lecturer in at the University of Chicago's Law School.
  • The Legal Information Institute maintained by Cornell University Law School. Cornell maintains many services related to the Federal Government, including listservs for the agencies.
  • Washburn University School of Law Library - a 10-person team at the school is making an effort to provide links to all known law-related materials on the Internet.

  • Yahoo - Law Yahoo is the largest of the Web indexes. It contains thousands of links, organized into various categories. This link starts at the Law page, but Yahoo is a good place to start research in any area, or simply to "surf the net."
