Second Season of Service Job Fair
Retired and inactive lawyers interested in volunteering to help low-income persons in need of legal representation are invited to come to a “job fair” at the Colorado Bar Association on July 28 at 9 a.m. to learn more about opportunities for such volunteer work.
Under the Colorado Supreme Court’s new pro bono/emeritus rule, retired and inactive lawyers can provide pro bono services to the indigent, through qualified nonprofit programs, without paying attorney registration fees, and the CBA is waiving its dues requirement for lawyers who do so. Join Colorado Court of Appeals Judge JoAnn Vogt, Access to Justice Commission Chair Constance Talmage, and representatives of the organizations who can use your services on July 28 to learn how you can help.
