Guidelines for Use of Bar Services/Staff
Office Hours. The CBA hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday ans 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. The CBA staff must be notified when meetings are scheduled at the CBA office, especially at times other than normal working hours as notice must be given to the building security to arrange to open the office.
Conference Rooms. The CBA has five conference rooms available by appointment on the 9th floor. The conference room capacities are:
Executive: up to 40 people
President's: 12-15 people
Terrace: 18-20 people
Capitol: 27-30 people
Stratum: This conference room is set up daily to be a working pace for attorneys needing a space to work for a couple of hours. It can hold up to 5-6 attorneys with this set up, as a conference room it can be set up for 11-15 people. We also have working space available in the lobby for attorney's to set up and work.
We suggest that if you are meeting with a client here at the CBA offices that you contact us ahead of time to set up a conference room. You can send an e-mail with the number of people, date and time to email@example.com for a reservation. Otherwise please feel free to drop in, we would love to have you.
Parking Validation. The CBA will validate members' parking coupons when visiting the CBA office for Section Council meetings, Executive Council Meetings and Committee Meetings. We do not validate parking for CLE programs.
Phones/Offices. Generally, there are phones and/or an office available on a temporary basis for members to use. Please ask the staff to locate a vacant office/phone for you.
Refreshments. The area outside of the conference rooms is equipped with a coffee maker, water, refrigerator, microwave and sink. Coffee and soda are available to members and visitors at no cost.
Staff Assistance. The CBA staff is available to assist committees and sections in the following ways:
Reserve conference rooms for meetings. Reservations should be requested through the CBA staff. We request sections and committee reserve space far in advance to avoid conflicts. Members can reserve space up to two weeks prior to your scheduled time. To reserve space please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Send out notices of meetings if notified to do so within a reasonable period of time prior to the meeting. We suggest at least three weeks advance notice to give members adequate time to plan. The Colorado Supreme Court requires 2 weeks notice to ensure time to grant CLE credit for an event. We will also need a short desription of your CLE program in order to apply for credit.
Reproduce and distribute meeting minutes to committee members. It is the responsibility of the committee or Section to take and prepare minutes.
