Public Relations Policy
The association can either profit greatly from public relations or can suffer irreparable harm through poor public relations. This is an extremely sensitive area. Please bear in mind that the current Board of Governors' policy is that:
No one is authorized to speak for or on behalf of the association policies or activities for publication unless previously approved by the executive director or the president of the association. If time does not permit other actions, to the board of governors and executive council of the association have authorized public positions to be announced on behalf of the association by concurrence of a majority of the president, past president and president-elect.
