When Denver police are called to a domestic violent incident, the sergeant on duty arrives on the scene with a video camera. The officers on scene also have a “beat bag” with measuring tapes, tape recorders, and victim advocate information. The additional evidence gathered often results in the prosecutor not needing to call a child as a witness.
