ABBA May Meeting

ay 30, 2003, ABBA held a luncheon meeting at The Ranch Country Club.
The main purpose of this meeting was election of
Board Officers for the upcoming year.
Nominations were made and the final results are as follows:
Cyndy Ciancio, President
Sarah Boensch, Vice President
Patricia Riley, Secretary
David Smith, Treasurer
Cyndy, and Sarah are previous board members.
President, Cyndy Ciancio is a private practice attorney with Ciancio & Associates, a small and personable firm dedicated to protecting the rights of their clients.
She was born, raised, and still lives in Adams County with strong family roots in our county. Cyndy is married to Trevor Minjarez.
She attended Lyndon State University in Vermont and received an Associates degree. Later she attended Stetson University and received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1992. She then attended the University of Denver and received her Juris Doctor degree in 1996.
Cyndy was a prosecutor for the Adams County District Attorney’s office for three years prior to entering private practice.
Vice President, Sarah Boensch grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota and went to Colorado State for undergraduate and University of Colorado at Boulder for law school. She has been practicing law for two years.
While at CSU Sarah was a part of the women’s rodeo team and Miss Rodeo Colorado 1996.
Now she is Deputy District Attorney in Adams County. Sarah has been with the county for 18 months.
For relaxation she enjoys reading, riding her Quarter Horse, "Te", playing with her dogs, "Bo" and "Maddie, and running.
Secretary, Patricia Riley a private practice family law attorney located in Broomfield.
Pat is a graduate of Western State University College of Law, Fullerton, California, and practiced in California for twelve years before coming to Colorado.
She enjoys the companionship of Mitzi, her Australian Shepard mix on their daily walks and Mitzi appreciates her salvation from the shelter.
Travel is always on Pats things to do list. Favorite destinations include visits to a daughter in Texas and a son in Iowa as well as international travel.
Treasurer, David Smith who grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania went to Middlebury, in Vermont, and attended law school at Colorado University.
He clerked for Judge Phillips in Denver District Court, and then went into private practice in civil litigation with emphasis on construction defect and land use.
David is now in the County Attorney’s Office, where he does land use, zoning enforcement, and advises both the Planning Commission and the Board of Adjustment.
His home is in golden where he lives with his wife, Jennifer, an attorney in the Colorado Attorney General’s Office and his dog, Hunter.
