Volunteer Opportunities at the CBA

The Access to Justice Commission has several projects for which volunteers are needed.  The Access to Justice Commission welcomes lawyers, paralegals, and law students who share its vision of equal justice. Anyone interested in being appointed to the Access to Justice Commission or to a Subcommittee of the Access to Justice Commission should contact Constance Talmage or Kathleen Schoen for additional information. 

The Family Law Court Program ("FLC Program") at Metro Volunteer Lawyers ("MVL") helps low-income clients with simple, UNCONTESTED dissolution of marriage (divorce) and allocation of parental responsibility (custody) cases.  The program operates in 4 jurisdictions every month:

• Denver County
• Jefferson County
• Adams County
• Arapahoe County

The CBA Paralegal Committee sponsors FREE CLE-accredited training of paralegals to volunteer for this pro bono program.  We will be conducting training in downtown Denver in February.  For complete information about this program and the training sessions, click here.
