Learn all that you need to know about Colorado appellate court opinions, feature editorials and monthly columns prepared by specific CBA sections in the official publication of the Colorado Bar Association. Articles from The Colorado Lawyer are also online and fully-searchable!

The information you'll find in the Members Only area includes:
- Articles from The Colorado Lawyer beginning with January 1997 issue.
- A search engine that will allow you to search only The Colorado Lawyer ("TCL") site. Why is this useful? Having a search engine specifically for materials posted on The Colorado Lawyer's site allows you to concentrate your search on TCL materials only. This means when you search for "criminal law," the only relevant documents you'll get back will be those from the TCL site instead of from the entire CBA website.
- A search engine that will allow you to search only the Colorado Supreme Court and Court of Appeals decisions. This allows you to conduct searches of the opinions only.
- Archives of the Colorado Supreme Court and Court of Appeals decisions going back to October 1996.
- Subscribe to the new "Opinions" listserv1, which delivers the case captions and summaries of the Colorado Supreme Court decisions within hours of their release. It also delivers the case captions of the Court of Appeals decisions within hours of their release, and the case summaries as soon as they are available. The case numbers in the e-mail message you receive will be actual hypertext links (your e-mail software must support hypertext links). Click on a link in the message and if you are connected to the Internet, you will go directly to the full text of the case you selected. Want to subscribe now? - The Young Lawyers' Divisions of the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association also have a listserv for their members and other interested young lawyers. The YLDs hope to use the listserv to notify members of upcoming YLD events, such as Law on the Mall, Christmas in January, and the Ski Train; to provide a source of referrals and networking for substantive law questions, ethical issues, mentoring and job hunters; announcements about new resources for practice, such as books, software and CD-ROM's; and other issues of concern for young lawyers. LawToolBox is a web-based tool that Colorado litigators use to calculate deadlines and automate firm wide and attorney specific deadline calendars and ticklers. Before a deadline expires, users receive email reminders with practice tips and a first draft of a customized pleading due on that deadline. Give LawToolBox a case number to get a free deadline chart LawToolBox generates by mining dates from the state court database (so that you can compare your deadlines to those calculated for your case by LawToolBox). CBA LEGISLATIVE SERVICES
The CBA is active in legislation and how it may impact present law, public policy, and the administration of justice and the legal profession in Colorado. The Board of Governors, the Legislative Policy Committee, along with committee and section governing boards, all play integral roles in developing CBA policy on legislation. ETHICS CALLING COMMITTEE
You are provided with access to informal guidance in resolving ethical issues. A member of the CBA Ethics Committee will take your question and immediately provide you with informal feedback. If you are interested in or require a formal opinion, the Committee will also provide this service, but please allow two to three months for review and provision of a written opinion.
