Annual Food and Wine Tasting Fundraiser with Silent Auction—Friday, May 31

On Friday, May 31, the CBA YLD will host its 2013 Annual Charity Fundraiser at Space Gallery in Denver’s Santa Fe Art District.

Get you tickets online! Cost to attend is $10 for Students, $15 for Lawyers, and $20 at the door.

This year’s chosen beneficial charity is Denver Urban Scholars. The fundraiser will showcase various local beers as well as tastings from Proximo Tequila! The silent auction will feature exciting items such as Colorado Rapids tickets, gift certificates for spas and salons, an all-you-can-drink PBR party at Matchbox, a night of bottle service at the Beauty Bar, several hotel stays, and a three-night stay at a condo in Breckinridge!

In addition, CBA YLD has partnered with UBER, a private car service, for this event. First-time riders will receive $25 off on rides for on event night, plus three $50 UBER credits will be available at our silent auction. Visit for more information.

CBA Environmental Section Launches Statewide Tree-Planting Project

Recent fires have devastated forests and communities throughout Colorado. The CBA and the Environmental Law Section are sponsoring a statewide tree-planting project in areas affected by these wildfires. Donations and volunteers are sought to plant more than 5,000 trees in Colorado Springs, Durango, Fort Collins, Jefferson County, and Boulder. 2013 Salary and Satisfaction Survey

To learn more about the state’s 37,000 registered attorneys and the legal profession, some of the state’s most influential organizations have banded together to launch a survey of salaries and job satisfaction. The Colorado Supreme Court, University of Colorado Law School, University of Denver Sturm College of Law, the Association of Corporate Counsel—Colorado Chapter, Center for Legal Inclusiveness, Law Week Colorado, Gibson Arnold and Associates, and the Colorado Bar Association will collect data through May 24. The survey will provide a more accurate picture of who makes up the legal community, as well as where law school graduates end up over the course of their careers. Participants will remain anonymous.

Stay Active with CBA Young Lawyers Division

We’re always happy to hear from members who want to volunteer for the many CBA YLD programs and activities. In fact, the CBA YLD strongly encourages all young attorneys to become active in the many exciting CBA YLD-sponsored projects and activities.
