MISSION

The mission of the CBA’s Spanish Language Lawyering Committee is to provide a forum where Spanish-speaking lawyers: may identify, develop or broaden the existing Spanish legal resources; collaborate and share legal resources which will allow them to effectively represent their clients; increase the level of Spanish proficiency in the Colorado legal system; identify opportunities for international exchanges between attorneys, judges and other legal associations; and, through a collaboration of the courts, bar associations, law schools and other legal service organizations assist in identifying the needs of the Spanish-speaking communities in order to promote fair and equitable access to the legal-system.

Whether you are a beginning Spanish-speaker or fully fluent, there are many opportunities to get involved!

Our Past Activities have included legal fairs outside the Denver-metro area, sponsoring a booth at Cinco de Mayo, call-in legal night with Telemundo, CLEs, translations projects for the Colorado Courts, and presentation of the "Our Courts" program.
