CaseCheck+ automatically tells you if your case has been overruled, reversed or treated in a way that determines whether you use it to make your argument. The thumbs up will appear for good cases in states that have CC+. If a state does not yet have CC+ then there will be no icons at all.
There are also icons for criticized, superseded, reversed, overruled, questioned, withdrawn, modified and granted. Current states are Hawaii, Michigan, Oregon, Indiana, Ohio, Texas and Colorado. After subscribing to CC+, you will have access to all other CC+ states. As more states receive CC+, then you will have access to them.
States are currently being completed by the Pacific Reporter. The Pacific Reporter will cover the years 1885 to 2003. Colorado is completely current and the rest of the Pacific Reporter will be current to at least 2003. Some states may have additional supplemental years.
The cost is $49.00 for monthly access and $499.00 for annual access.
CaseCheck (the original service) will still be available for those who don’t want to pay for CaseCheck+. It will continue to be available in all 50 states and the federal library. Casecheck will list all cases that have cited a case you are viewing; however, unlike CaseCheck+, it will not provide you with icons or treatment.
