Colorado High School Mock Trials

We have a special need this year for additional Courtroom Monitors as we would like to have one Monitor for EACH courtroom, rather than one monitor for multiple courtrooms.  Courtroom Monitors serve in important roles as tournament communication liaison between their courtroom and the Tournament Coordinator.  Courtroom monitors greet the teams, answer any facility questions, monitor and secure the courtrooms before and after the rounds, and serve as problem solvers for any unexpected matters (emergencies, scoring panel conflicts, judicial consults, etc.).  Additionally, Courtroom Monitors will assist the Presiding Judge as needed.  There will be a Courtroom Monitor training prior to the tournament dates that volunteers can attend by teleconference.

The DBA Regional Tournament needs 4 Courtroom Monitors on Friday, February 10 (Noon - 5:30 p.m.) and 4 on Saturday, February 11 (8:00 - 3 p.m.).  Volunteers need to do BOTH shifts of either day (you can do both days).  No split shifts will be scheduled.  The tournament is at the Denver City/County Courthouse.

The CBA State Tournament needs 11 Courtroom Monitors on Friday, March 3 (Noon - 7 p.m.), and 11 on Saturday, March 4, (8:00 - 4:00 p.m.).  Volunteers need to do BOTH shifts of either day (can do both days).  No split shifts will be scheduled.  The State Tournament is also held at the Denver City/County Courthouse.
