Online Legal Research
The Colorado Bar Association's Casemaker is a unique online legal research tool with a powerful search engine providing access to a combination of state and federal materials, which was launched by the Ohio State Bar Association in 1998. Casemaker includes historic to current cases, statutes, and regulations in 50 states and at all federal levels.
Your CBA membership gives you exclusive access to all of the materials in the Colorado Library, as well as the libraries of all other members of the Casemaker Consortium.
We have provided links to lots of different online legal research websites in the Additional Info box to the right.

Unpublished Court of Appeals Opinions Available Via E-Mail for Free
Upon request, the Colorado Court of Appeals will send a copy of an unpublished opinion directly to your e-mail inbox! All you need to know is the case name and case number. Go to their website at www.courts.state.co.us/coa/opinion/unpub_request.htm to fill out the form. Press “Submit,” and your request will be answered by 5 p.m. the following business day. It’s that easy! If you don’t know the case name or number, but you know the approximate date it was announced, you may search for it by the date of announcement. Go to www.courts.state.co.us/coa/coaarchives.htm, select the year, and then the date. All opinions will be listed by date of announcement.
