At AMAX, he
pioneered collaborative approaches to environmental conflicts arising out of

Ecology program led to the successful development of the Henderson Mine in

years, Mr. Dempsey practiced law as a partner of the
Mr. Dempsey is active in trade, professional, civic and environmental organizations. He is a former director of the World Gold Council, a former chairman of the Colorado Mining Association, and past president of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation.
