The cover photo was taken by Mark L. Fulford on January 21, 2005, at the Harry Gates Hut, part of the Tenth Mountain Division chain of back-country huts, east of Ruedi Reservoir in Pitkin County. He used a Canon Powershot S400, an early model digital camera (probably on an automatic setting). Fulford has been with Sherman & Howard LLC his entire career, primarily doing bankruptcy work. Getting up to one of the Tenth Mountain Division huts each winter reminds him of the splendors of Colorado.
