CBA 103rd ANNUAL INSTITUTE
PROGRAM OPPORTUNITY FOR BUSINESS LAW & LITIGATION PRACTITIONERS
Together with the Business Law and Litigation Sections, CBA/CLE, Inc. will be sponsoring two Institutes during the CBA Institute. These two-day, multiple-track Institutes will provide up-to-date programming featuring national and the best local speakers for the business law and litigation lawyers on topics pertinent to those practice areas. Arrangements have been made for CBA Institute attendees who pay an additional nominal fee to attend any portions of the Business or Litigation Institutes they choose while still enjoying all the CBA Institute has to offer. For further information on the Business or Litigation Institutes, contact CBA/CLE at 303-860-0608 or 888-860-2531.
To provide a relaxed atmosphere that allows attendees to enjoy all that the CBA Institute has to offer, the dress code for the entire CBA Institute is casual.
The CBA Institutes Committee has arranged a golf outing for those who wish to partake of the scenic Vail Golf Club Course. The golf outing has been reserved for 40 golfers. The price is $125 for green fees, cart rental and gratuity, and range balls. This will not be a tournament; it’s just an opportunity to play in a beautiful setting with your fellow lawyers. Spouses and guests are cordially invited to register. Although it is not a tournament, prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin, longest drive and longest putt. The outing will be set with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. (subject to weather conditions). Vail’s policy is that monies will not be refunded if someone cancels within 5 days of September 21. So, if you prepay but cannot play, you will personally need to find a substitute since the CBA will be unable to refund your money.
Putting and Chipping Clinic
Vail Golf Club’s golf professionals will conduct a putting and chipping clinic on Friday afternoon and again on Saturday morning. To provide personal instruction to the participants, registration is limited to 12 people. There is no charge for the clinics but pre-registration is required by signing up on the CBA Institute registration form.
An informal afternoon run/walk, the length and vertical elevation gain of which will be determined by group consensus and the activities of the previous night. Runners should meet at the Hotel front entrance.
Experience the multitude of outdoor activities available in Vail, including: horseback riding, rafting, hiking, fly fishing, 4-wheeling, biking, miniature golf, rock climbing, and balloon rides. Call the Vail Cascade concierge at 888-228-8988 for further information on any of these activities. When you call to make reservations, be sure to identify yourself as a registrant of the CBA Institute. They can send you brochures listing activities in Vail.
PARKING IN VAIL
Parking may be limited at the Vail Cascade so Institute registrants may want to take advantage of free parking at Lionshead. The Vail Cascade shuttle stops at the Lionshead stop (at the Subway shop) every 20 minutes.
CHILD CARE SERVICES
Child care is available through Mountain Sitters, a company that provides "in-room" professional babysitting services. All of the sitters are at least 21 years of age, CPR certified, bonded, and are carefully selected after extensive interviews and a background check. Each sitter must have a valid driver’s license, which they must show before entering your premises. All sitters provide their own transportation to and from your location, and references for previous child care are available upon request. Mountain Sitters charges $16 an hour for one child, and $1 per hour per additional child. A four-hour minimum is required for each appointment. At the time a reservation is made, a non-refundable deposit of $24 per sitter per appointment will be required. The sitter will deduct the deposit from the amount owed, and the difference may be paid to the sitter by cash or check. Reservations may be made by calling Mountain Sitters at 970-477-0024.
