In recognition of the Uniform Electronic Wills Act, the Elder Law Section and the Statutory Revisions Committee of the Trust & Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association have approved the formation of an E-Wills Subcommittee (the "Subcommittee"). The purpose of the Subcommittee will be to study the Uniform E-Wills Act, as well as states that have recently enacted E-Will Statutes including, but not limited, to Arizona, Florida, Indiana and Nevada.

The Subcommittee will consist of probate and trust practitioners, including estate planning attorneys and litigators, as well as elder law attorneys and its purpose will focus on procedures and substantive matters pertaining to E-Wills. This year, the Subcommittee plans to work closely with the Rules and Forms Committee regarding E-Wills and the unique issues presented by the Uniform Act. If this Subcommittee determines an issue of significant concern, the committee will ask the Elder Law Section and/or the Statutory Revisions Committee to consider whether specific revisions or additions are appropriate. The Subcommittee will also be working closely with Jeremy Schupbach, as the legislative liaison of the CBA, regarding any proposed or pending Colorado legislation concerning E-Wills.

They meet at 12:30- 1:30 PM in West 1
