Christina A. Brown is a Maryland native who worked in campaign politics and lived throughout the United States before settling down in Colorado in 2008.

Christina began working in the immigration field long before graduating from law school, when she served as a Constituent Advocate for Congressman Jared Polis in Boulder, Colorado. During her time as a constituent advocate, Christina discovered her passion for immigration law, and she decided to attend law school. Christina graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in May 2013 and was admitted to the Colorado bar that same year.

During her law school tenure, Christina began working in the removal defense field of immigration law. She worked in removal defense as a law clerk at a private firm for almost three years and interned at a number of non profit organizations throughout the United States.

After graduation, Christina had the opportunity to travel to Artesia, New Mexico, where she volunteered her time helping to represent women and children held in immigration detention camps. After serving as a volunteer for two months, Christina was hired by the American Immigration Council as the Lead Attorney of the Artesia Pro Bono Project. Christina spent the subsequent eight months managing hundreds of asylum cases and hundreds of pro bono attorneys who came to volunteer for the project. Christina’s work was featured in The New York Times Magazine in 2015.

Christina is admitted to the Colorado bar and to the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. She focuses her practice on removal defense, family-based immigration petitions, criminal immigration matters, and asylum cases.

When not working on immigration-related issues, Christina enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband and dogs, hiking, photography, and sailing.
