Ethical Issues for Elder Law Lawyers: Tackling the Tough Topics
In this program, we’ll address common ethical issues elder law attorneys confront, including: working with vulnerable clients, such as those clients with diminished capacity and/or those who may be at risk for abuse, and the related guidance set forth in Colo. RPC 1.14, as well as CBA Ethics Opinions 126 and 131; ethical issues that may necessitate withdrawal under Colo. RPC 1.16; and ethical issues and related obligations that arise when communicating with a client’s family.
