This program will focus on an interactive discussion about legal malpractice claims, what they are and what conduct lawyers engage in that counsel for plaintiffs are looking for. The speakers will also discuss risk management prevention to help avoid a claim or limit the damage exposure. Because insurance is a component of the legal malpractice litigation, the program will address the claims made and reported nature of lawyers' professional liability policy, and what coverages are included in policies. Such key coverage provision as the definition of legal services, claims notice and trigger clauses, defense cost outside and within the limits of liability, complying with Rule 265, Retirement Extended Reporting Period “Tail” Coverage Options, disciplinary proceedings, subpoena assistance, privacy and network breach claims, malicious prosecution and personal injury allegations clauses.
