Program Description
Our panel of experienced lawyer and non-lawyer mediators with varying mediation endeavors reconvene to provide additional suggestions and field your questions and ideas about how to create, nurture, and grow your own mediation business. Whether you are a new mediator or a more experienced one wanting to jump to the next level, join our presentation and bring your questions and suggestions.
Speaker Bios
Steve Choquette began mediating in 2004 after taking a 40-hour training course. His mediation and arbitration work steadily grew during his trial and appellate law practice in firms large and small, so much so that in 2019 he became a full-time mediator and arbitrator with JAMS Denver. He regularly teaches other mediators about Colorado law on mediation.
Amber Hill Anderson, MA, is a mediator with the Colorado Civil Rights Division in the Department of Regulatory Agencies. Previously, she was the owner and mediator at Hilltop Mediation and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Denver teaching conflict resolution and negotiation. She has worked for conflict resolution organizations including the Organization of American States, the International Peace and Security Institute, and the Center for Peacebuilding and Development. She is a patron member and executive committee member of the CBA’s ADR section. Amber holds a master’s degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from Luther College.
Wes Wollenweber is founding partner at WF Legal in Lakewood. His ADR practice focuses on mediating employment, HOA, landlord-tenant, non-compete, land-use, and variety of other civil litigation disputes, and arbitrating housing-related disputes.
