Canadian immigration laws can pose significant challenges for individuals with a U.S. criminal record, potentially leading to denial of entry or other restrictions. As an immigration attorney, you’re often the first person a client will call when facing issues related to our northern border. As a Colorado criminal lawyer, understanding the implications of your client's criminal convictions in Canada is crucial.
This presentation will cover the specific types of criminal convictions that can lead to inadmissibility in Canada, along with strategies for overcoming these barriers through temporary resident permits (waivers) or rehabilitation processes.
