CBA President Catherine Chan will present statistics and information to lead a discussion around stress and race-related stressors for populations of color, including the potential impacts of marginalization on mental health. We will also discuss disparities in access to mental health care for populations of color, affecting communities at large and their specific needs in civil and criminal cases. No RSVP needed.

Catherine A. Chan, Esq., is the managing partner of the Chan Law Firm. She has been practicing law since 2003. Her practice focuses on complex immigration cases, including federal litigation and appeals. Ms. Chan has lived and studied in Iran and Spain, in addition to the United States. She is fluent in Farsi and Spanish. In addition to her Juris Doctorate degree, she holds a master's degree in global trade and finance. Ms. Chan contributes her time and firm's resources to various pro bono causes and individual cases. The Chan Law Firm has been recognized since 2007 by the Colorado Supreme Court for its pledge to pro bono practice. An active member of the executive committees of the Colorado and Denver bar associations, Ms. Chan gives voice to the concerns of small firm owners and immigration practitioners. She teaches and publishes often on the subject of immigration law.
