Andrew P. Rubin (Associate, Greenberg Traurig) and Sarah Ritchey Haradon (Associate, Holland & Hart) will present on the partnership audit regulations. Their presentation will include a short presentation on the federal regulations that will take effect on January 1, 2018 followed by a discussion about the varying impacts at the state level. Find out which states will be following the federal regulations and which states should keep you up at night.
Andrew P. Rubin is a tax and public finance attorney at Greenberg Traurig, LLP. Andrew counsels clients on the federal tax implications of real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and public finance. He also helps clients plan for state and local taxes, including sales and use taxes and severance tax. Andrew also serves as bond and tax counsel for public finance, project finance, and P3 matters. He also has broad experience representing clients with the purchase, sale, and financing of oil and gas assets. Andrew is licensed to practice law in CO, WY, ND, MT, UT, and AZ. Andrew earned his J.D. at Syracuse University, LL.M. in tax at Northwestern University, and LL.M. in natural resources law at the University of Denver.
Sarah Ritchey Haradon is a tax attorney with Holland & Hart LLP. She advises clients on a broad range of corporate, partnership, and individual income tax matters, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and IRS audits, appeals, and litigation. Her practice primarily involves representing companies and individuals in complex transactions as well as against the Internal Revenue Service. She helps companies and individuals achieve optimal tax efficiency in their business operations through formations, sales and restructurings. She also has experience with every aspect of the IRS administrative process, including representing clients in front of the United States Tax Court. Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Sarah worked for Miller & Chevalier Chartered, clerked for the United States Tax Court and practiced in the area of corporate finance, developing a broad range of experience in debt and equity transactions. Sarah is licensed to practice law in Colorado and D.C. She earned her J.D. from Northwestern University and her LL.M. in tax from Georgetown University.
