Carissa V. Sears focuses her practice on commercial litigation and family law.  She is experienced in a wide range of matters, having handled cases on five continents involving real estate, securities fraud, contracts, and products liability.

Carissa's cases have ranged from small simple claims to matters worth hundreds of millions of dollars.  She is particularly drawn to matters centering on the interpretation and enforcement of contracts.  Her practice approach is to advocate firmly, while working toward reasonable and cooperative resolutions.

Carissa earned her law degree locally in Boulder, Colorado, where she served as Managing Editor of the Law Review.  While a student, she interned for the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and the Colorado Court of Appeals.  After graduating, she served as a Judicial Clerk for the Colorado Supreme Court.
