Attorney Stephen M. Whitmore

Stephen M. Whitmore is the head of the Civil Litigation Practice at Robinson and Henry and brings over two decades of trial experience to the firm.

He has successfully litigated hundreds of cases in Colorado's state, federal and administrative courts and his wealth of experience allows him to consistently provide competent, professional and ethical counsel to a wide variety of companies and individuals.  His areas of practice include commercial litigation, contract disputes, landlord and tenant matters, collections, foreclosures, replevins, construction defect and mechanics lien litigation, employment disputes and bankruptcy litigation.  Steve represents both plaintiffs and defendants and his clients have included banks, management companies, lenders, construction trades, car dealers, small businesses and individuals.

Steve’s goal is to achieve favorable results for his clients quickly and cost effectively, and he knows that representation by an attorney with the experience, ability and willingness to take tough cases to trial is an effective tool in reaching that goal.      

Steve attended the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a B.A. in psychology and played NCAA Division I hockey.  After a professional hockey career in Europe, he returned to the States to take a job as a stockbroker in Boulder, Colorado.   In 1992 he obtained his law degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, where he was a member of the Student Law Office.  While in law school, Steve worked as a clerk for the Honorable Martin P. Miller, former District Court Judge and Arapahoe County District Attorney.

A competitor by nature, Steve represents his clients with energy, intensity and enthusiasm, and he takes pride in keeping his clients engaged and informed at every step of the litigation process. 

Steve lives in Centennial, Colorado with his wife and two sons.
