Colorado tax attorneys interested in helping taxpayers whose income and resources place them at or below the federal poverty level are welcome to indicate their interest by contacting Metro Volunteer Lawyers.
Metro Volunteer Lawyers, formerly known as The Thursday Night Bar Program, works with volunteer lawyers specializing in many legal fields, who perform free and low-cost legal services for poor and near-poor persons who live and work in the following Metropolitan Denver area counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Denver, Douglas, Elbert, Gilpin, and Jefferson. Sometimes the individuals who contact Metro Volunteer Lawyers need help with tax issues.
Work performed by attorneys on behalf of clients referred by Metro Volunteer Lawyers usually qualifies for Continuing Legal Education credit.

Next, click on the “sign-up sheet” link, print and fill out the sign up sheet, and mail it to Metro Volunteer Lawyers at 1905 Sherman Street, Suite 400, Denver, CO 80203.
If you submit a sign-up sheet to Metro Volunteer Lawyers, your name will be placed on a list of interested tax attorneys. Once on the list, Metro Volunteer Lawyers may contact you if Metro Volunteer Lawyers is contacted by a qualifying individual with a tax issue. If contacted, attorneys are not obligated to accept any cases for referral.
