Jennifer L. Rice has practiced law since 1998, and in 2003 founded her solo firm in Fort Collins to focus exclusively on family law and adoptions.  Jennifer represented the family law bar on the 8th Judicial District Bench Bar Committee for 8 years (2006-2014).  She served as the President of the Larimer County Bar Association (2013-2014) and Chair of the 8th Judicial District Access to Justice Committee (2005-2012).  She currently serves as a Commissioner on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 8th Judicial District. 

Jennifer has been a member of the Colorado Bar Association Family Law Section for 11 years and the American Bar Association Family Law Section for 16 years.  In 2003, she received the Gary L. McPherson Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year Award from the Colorado Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.  She was a member of the inaugural Colorado Bar Association Leadership Training (COBALT) Class of 2007  and served on the Steering Committee for the COBALT Program in 2008.  Jennifer received her B.A. from the University of Virginia and her J.D. from the University of South Carolina.  She is also trained as a mediator and co-mediates with a licensed psychologist with Creative Resolutions Mediation LLC.
