The First Judicial District Nominating Commission has nominated three candidates for a district court judgeship created by the resignation of the Hon. Dennis Hall, effective June 2, 2019. Nominees Amy Cardone and Robert Lochary, both of Golden; and Russell Klein of Arvada were selected by the commission on June 4, 2019.
Under the Colorado Constitution, the governor has 15 days from June 5, 2019, within which to appoint one of the nominees as district court judge for the First Judicial District (Gilpin and Jefferson counties).
