Active participation in sections allows members to gain the maximum benefit from CBA membership. This involvement creates a special opportunity for the members to study issues, express ideas, apply talents and share experiences with others who have similar interests. Sections also offer valuable, informative and inexpensive seminars and institutes that generally offer CLE credits. The section member discount for a single CLE program often exceeds the total annual cost of joining the section.
The Colorado Bar Association (“CBA”) values diversity, equity and inclusivity. The CBA seeks inclusion by using a broad understanding of diversity in all ways including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, national origin, class, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, veteran status, geographical diversity, religious beliefs, years of practice and practice settings. The CBA prioritizes broad and inclusive participation in its membership and leadership, particularly by underrepresented groups in the legal profession. The CBA endeavors to take affirmative steps to facilitate the inclusion and leadership of attorneys of all backgrounds, identities and circumstances, and to remove any barriers to that inclusion by fostering an environment of inclusivity in both the CBA and the greater legal community.
